Hey Everyone – I am reaching out on behalf of ‘Breast Cancer Network Australia’ and advertising agency ‘J. Walter Thompson’ with a beautiful brief to encourage women to self-check this Breast Cancer Awareness month.

We are looking for female and male influencers with any number of followers to post an image on their Facebook or Instagram to drive our self-check message and ultimately save lives!

In 2014, we launched the “I Touch Myself Project”, transforming the late Chrissy Amphlett’s song about female sexuality into an emotional anthem for early detection of breast cancer. Over 400 million people saw the music video, #itouchmyselfproject became a trending topic on Facebook and most importantly we changed behavior around self-checking and saved lives!

You can watch the ‘I Touch Myself Project’ video, featuring Sarah Blasko, Olivia Newton-John, Kate Ceberano, Megan Washington, Sarah McLeod, Katie Noonan, Suze DeMarchi, Deborah Conway, Connie Mitchell and Little Pattie by typing 'I Touch Myself Project' into google and visiting our website.

The next phase of this project launched at the beginning of the month – and this time we are spreading the message by asking women (and men!) take a photo of their handbra and post it on their Instagram or Facebook. We would love as many of you help spread the movement as possible, here is how to get involved:
1. Post a photo of your handbra on FB or Instagram (you can do this with or without clothing, however you feel comfortable – see attached photos for references)
2. Hashtag #myhandbra and #itouchmyselfproject
3. Tag to nominate 5 friends to do the same

The other way to get involved is to repost one of the images that have already gone up from people like: Montaigne, NGAIIRE, Little May, Abbe May, Katy Steele, Christa Hughes, Virginia Lillye, Catherine Britt, etc. I have attached these images for reference. We are hoping to get up to 10,000 women posting #myhandbra images of themselves!

Unfortunately, we cannot offer any remuneration for this social post as we are a charity, but each post will help generate awareness and save lives! This is ‘J. Walter Thompson’s’ first time using ‘The Right Fit’, but will definitely come back with paying clients and approach influencers that we have loved working with again!

We so appreciate your involvement and we truly believe that together we can help! Thanks for joining the movement! Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions!
