Gearing up for your next exciting job?
With theright.fit, finding the right talent is as simple as posting a job that outlines your vision then waiting for applicants to get in touch. In order to attract the right applicants (rather than the most applicants), here are 5 steps to writing a great job listing.
Step #1: Create an informative job title
The goal of your job title is to let talent know if they’re a match for your job, get them to click and read more about the opportunity, and submit their application and rate. To achieve all of this, your job title should be clear and succinct. You want to catch the attention of the right type of talent and you can do this by describing who you’re looking for.
For example: Female actor 30-40 yrs for Car Brand TVC
This job title lets applicants know what you’re looking for and ensures you’re only contacted by those suited to the job.
Step #2: Follow up with specific job details
You’ve crafted the perfect job title, great. Now you need to add a little more information to ensure you get the talent you need.
The more specific you are with job details, the higher quality and more relevant your applicants will be. Your job details should include relevant information to help talent quickly assess whether they’re the right fit for you.
Example details for Model & Actor jobs:
- Height
- Dress size
- Hair colour
- Ethnicity
- Skills required (e.g. dancing or autocue experience)
Example details for Photography jobs:
- Type of shots required
- Total number of images
- Post-production expectations (e.g. editing or retouching)
Example details for Influencer jobs:
- Brand information
- Product information
- Influencer type required
- Minimum engagement rate
- Content channel and type (e.g. IG reel or Tik Tok video)
Make sure to include any mandatory requirements in your brief. This could include an age bracket (e.g. over 25 for alcohol advertising) or the ability to perform a particular skill (e.g. driving a car, rollerblading, etc). The more information you provide, the better suited your applicants will be.
Step #3: Add photos and images
A picture doesn’t paint a thousand words on theright.fit - it’s much more important than that! Great job listings include relevant images to help talent learn more about your project, your product, and your brand.
theright.fit tip: Add reference images of the type of talent you’re trying to cast. This will help talent get a feel for your vision and ensure those who apply are best suited to the project. Mood boards are also helpful for photographer job listings and influencer campaigns, so include relevant images that capture your desired aesthetic.
Step #4: Set your budget
OK, your job has a clear title, lots of relevant details, and a bunch of eye-catching images. Now it’s time to set your rates. When you post a job on theright.fit for a Model, Actor, Photographer, Videographer, or any other category of talent, you get to set the rate.
You can choose from:
- Per Hour
- Per Day
You can also select ‘Open to Negotiation’ if you’re happy for talent to negotiate their rate with you. Setting your rate is a crucial step that helps talent determine whether they’re suitable for your job.
theright.fit tip: Certain talent categories offer filtering options. When posting a job for an influencer, you can select the category of influencer you’re looking to receive quotes from. For example, nano-influencers (typically $75 to $300 per post), micro-influencers (typically $300 to $600 per post), etc. You can also select multiple categories to receive a broad range of quotes.

Step #5: List your usage
For Model, Actor, and Influencer jobs, it’s important to list where the images or video will be used. This is known as usage and refers to where and for how long content is used. For example, usage may cover:
- Print ads
- TV commercials
- Online ads
- Social media
- In-store posters
- Magazines
When creating your job on theright.fit, make sure you include the length of time you want to use the images or video (e.g. 12 months, 24 months, etc) and the countries you want to use them in (e.g, Australia, NZ, etc).

Why is this important?
Usage details impact the amount talent is paid. If your content is going to be delivered across a range of mediums, and for a long time, talent requires payment to reflect this usage. By outlining where and for how long your content will be used, you’ll help talent decide if the usage is fair for the rate offered.
