Alejandra Ramirez Vidal

My name is Alé, and I am a Colombian residing in Australia for the last 14 years. When I was seventeen, I left on my own to study English and to pursue new prospects in life. I studied graphic design and product design for four years at Griffith University and then became a university lecturer at the age of 21. For the previous nine years, I've been able to work for two semesters and travel for three–four months each year, which has allowed me to see over 51 countries. I've accomplished my most significant life goals over the last five years: I started my own business and self-sponsored in order to obtain my Australian citizenship; I constructed a tiny house on the Gold Coast; I studied for my honours degree and graduated with a first class; as a result, I was awarded a scholarship to study for a PhD, which I am currently pursuing. My Ph.D. research focuses on Digital Nomads and the Future of Creativity. I resigned my work, rented my house, and changed my life in order to build a van in three months and become my own case study as a brand-new digital nomad. I've spent the last year and a half travelling Australia in a van and the world, working as a content creator, photographer, designer, and videographer while conducting research and exploring Australia in my van mostaza.
