From Vancouver B.C, Canada, Alexa Berard is a versatile multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter renowned for her distinctive blend of folk and rock with grungy undertones. Her notable achievements include composing for diverse projects, such as the Metis podcast "Beading Together" hosted by Lisa Shepherd, short films, "Pollen" directed/written by Mia Martinez, and "I Love U" directed/written by Brandon Stewart. An accomplished saxophonist, Alexa holds a music major from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she studied under Julia Nolan. Her prior mentorship under Juno Award-winning saxophonist Campbell Ryga reflects her commitment to musical excellence.
