About
USA-based Australian wakeboarding star Cory Teunissen was introduced to the sport by his father, Jeff, who also knows a thing or two about achieving big success on the water at a young age, having become a champion barefoot waterskier at the age of 15.
Cory has two world titles to his name and is the youngest wakeboarder to land a Switch Toeside Wake to Wake 1080, an achievement he pulled off when he was 15 years old. Add an overall third place in his rookie year of the Junior Pro Tour, sports management studies and an equally talented older brother to compete with and you have a very accomplished rider who's really just getting started.
Moving to Orlando, Florida, and juggling studying between sets is a decision that Cory didn't take lightly, but combining further education with his pursuit for wakeboarding glory paid dividends.
He registered a string of first-place results from some big competitions in 2016, including the Australian Pro, the China event of the World Cup, the Canada event of the Worlds, and the Portugal event of the European Pro-Am.
Cory went on to land the 2017 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships title, as well as becoming the overall winner of the Pro Wakeboard Tour in 2018.
Since then, he's continued to record high profile victories around the world and is constantly attempting to push the boundaries of the sport.
