David Reiss

I see my photography work thus far as capturing a sense of dynamism and design. Whether creating a story on location or in studio, I draw my creative output from exploring form and embedding that within a fashion narrative. The elements of texture, shape and structure within nature/landscapes and man-made form/spaces all drive my direction and concepts. This then provides a perfect platform to create beauty and drama with the collaboration of model, stylist, hair and make up. I see myself as an outsider. I have lived a nomadic life, with a Filipino/Romanian ethnicity, an Australian nationality, a childhood up bringing in numerous countries in Middle and Southeast Asia and now living in London – I have always been an outside observer of cultures and places – absorbing ideas and thus formed a desire to shape my own realities through photography.
