About
Lottie Dalziel is a journalist, sustainability expert and speaker. Starting her career at NOVA and the ABC in Brisbane, she moved to Sydney in 2016 and began work for publishing giant, Pacific Magazines. Lottie worked across titles including InStyle, Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Better Homes and Gardens, Diabetic Living and Home Beautiful; delivering to an audience of over 6.1million Australians. As Digital Content Manager of Men's Health and Women's Health (2017) she was responsible for their major tentpole campaigns including Women In Sport and Fit Night Out.
In 2018 Lottie made a New Year’s resolution to drastically reduce her waste. It wasn’t until she started this resolution that she realised how hard it was not only to find environmentally-friendly products but also find credible information around waste. Did you know that in 2014-15 Australia produced approximately 64 million tonnes of waste, which is equivalent to 2.7 tonnes of waste per person? As a country, Australia ranks 5th highest in generating the most municipal waste in the world but are the 55th largest country; it just doesn't add up.
Lottie is Sustainability Editor at Gritty Pretty and remains working as a freelance journalist for Lifestyle, Women's Health and Better Homes and Gardens magazine, and has worked with brands including The Travel Corporation (Contiki), Soda Stream, WeWork, Universal McCann and Hornsby Council.
